For a Real Life Outside
At SUNVANTA, we believe better outdoor living begins with responsible choices.
With support from sustainability consultants Hip V. Hype, our ESG framework is built around three pillars: Planet, People and Purpose — guiding our approach to responsible materials, durable design and positive community impact.
Through products made to last, we aim to create better outdoor spaces while contributing to a more sustainable future for Australian living.
OUR ESG STATEMENT
Responsible Materials
Every component is carefully considered — from our umbrella fabrics to our aluminium structures — balancing durability, performance and responsible material choices.
Our fabrics include recycled polyester, while our pergola and gazebo frames use a proprietary aluminium alloy containing 95% aluminium, developed with Dongah Aluminium Corporation (DAC). DAC’s Green Anodisation technology helps reduce harmful chemicals and minimise wastewater during finishing.
Our LED Cantilever Umbrellas feature solar-powered charging panels, providing up to 8 hours of lighting while reducing reliance on traditional energy sources.
Repair Before Replace
We believe a product’s journey doesn’t end after purchase. Through durable design, high-quality materials and ongoing after-sales support, we help customers maintain and enjoy their outdoor spaces for years to come.
Thoughtful Packaging
We consider the environmental impact of our packaging by reducing unnecessary materials, improving packaging efficiency and exploring more recyclable solutions. Every choice is made to help minimise waste while ensuring our products arrive safely.

About the Shade Grants Initiative
With two in three Australians diagnosed with skin cancer in their lifetime, protecting children from harmful UV matters. Launched by Cancer Council SA and Preventive Health SA, the Shade Grants Initiative is providing A$250,000 for permanent shade at eight South Australian schools and early childhood centres. It complements the SunSmart program, which helps more than 1,100 local schools and services make sun protection part of everyday life.
SUNVANTA’s Contribution
SUNVANTA is supporting Peterborough Community Preschool, one of the eight grant recipients, with a donation of cantilever umbrella shade. This contribution is intended to create more shade for outdoor play and learning alongside the preschool’s wider sun-protection measures. We hope it helps children enjoy time outdoors more comfortably and supports lasting sun-safe habits.
Supporting Safer Spaces for Future Generations
SUNVANTA supported Lake Windermere B-6 School by providing a customised aluminium louvre shelter, creating a more comfortable and protected outdoor space for students.
The adjustable louvre roof allows teachers to control sunlight throughout the day — opening to welcome gentle morning light, adjusting for afternoon shade, or closing during light rain. Built with a durable aluminium structure, the shelter provides long-lasting weather resistance while supporting outdoor learning, play and everyday activities.
Taking Responsibility Beyond the Product
At SUNVANTA, responsibility goes beyond creating outdoor products. From thoughtful design and quality materials to product guidance and after-sales support, we focus on creating reliable solutions built for long-term performance.
Through replacement parts, installation guidance and ongoing customer care, we help extend product life and ensure outdoor spaces can be enjoyed for years to come.
